To promote professional and social contact amongst members of the Society;

To provide an opportunity for members to meet and discuss social and professional matters especially in connection with maritime industry;

To maintain and improve the status of the engineering profession and to afford suitable facilities to members to improve their knowledge of their profession especially in the field of maritime industry;

To organise and promote social, cultural and intellectual events.
